Dedicated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, it aims to use the power of sport to end violence, discrimination and disadvantage and to prove that sport can change the world. Laureus supports more than 100 projects in around 40 countries that use sport to drive social change. On the reverse is an engraving of a painting by 12-year-old Hou Ye from Shanghai. The arrows around him symbolise his lack of fear as he shoots forward. Despite his limited athletic ability, Hou Ye dreams of skiing and is an accomplished Special Olympics athlete. The illustration is the winning entry for this year’s ‘Time to Spend’ theme. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will benefit projects around the world. Chronograph/stopwatch function: the flyback function allows the chronograph to be instantly restarted at the push of a button without having to stop, reset and restart the stopwatch. The large blued steel central seconds hand and the chronograph sub-dial at 12 o’clock, which doubles as a 12-hour and 60-minute counter, make reading the stopwatch easy and instantaneous.
